Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Scooter 4's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Original: “He is a young 9 ½, plays
fetch, and loves being outside.”
Scooter’s owner died unexpectedly, leaving him alone when a
relative took the other dog and Scooter was relegated to the garage in his Pennsylvania home. The owner’s
son said he was a bird dog and went for a run every day.
This handsome fella is housetrained and sleeps through the
night. He signals his need to go out
with just a little whining. Scooter’s foster
mom does not know if he is crate trained as he is well mannered and has free rein
of the house when she is not home. He
might jump on the couch to be with his person but sleeps on a dog bed. He has
not counter-surfed or chewed anything nor have there been any food issues or
guarding. He knows “sit” and “stay.”
Scooter is great in the car and fine on a leash. While he
will bark at strangers, he warms up quickly.
His foster mom has groomed him with clippers without a problem but
he is a little wary when she touches his feet. He’s fine with her
checking his ears.
The new boy in town is a big softy. He would love a fenced yard but would
probably be okay off leash. He is a young 9 ½, plays fetch, and loves
being outside. He would probably like a more low-key environment
where someone is home a lot with him.
