Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Princess 7's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Original: “She really enjoys her
walks but she LOVES to play fetch!”
Princess was relinquished to a
Virginia shelter because she bit one of the owner’s children. Princess
had been asleep and was having a bad dream. The child came over to
comfort her and got down near the dog’s face. Princess startled awake and
bit the child in the face. Knowing that this was a most unfortunate but
avoidable incident, the shelter was happy to work with MAESSR in finding a new
home for this Springer girl.
Princess is being fostered by one of
MAESSR’s most experienced Springer people.
Her foster mom has been testing Princess’ temperament and has not found
any issues. Note that MAESSR will NOT place her in a home with
children.
Housetrained and crate trained,
Princess sleeps on a dog bed in her foster parents’ bedroom. Although
her house manners are quite good, she would love to counter-surf, but so far
she has been too short to get anything.
Princess pulls a little on the leash
when starting out, but then settles in to walk well. She really enjoys her walks but she LOVES to
play fetch! She will fetch anything her person will throw and will keep
retrieving as long as her person’s throwing arm will last. She is a lot like the Energizer Bunny, but she
does fall asleep early because she is so tired.
This little lady will melt your
heart with her sweetness, too. If you
have a child-free home and have a good throwing arm, consider bringing sweet,
active Princess into your life.
