  •  Three years ago, we made the best decision in deciding to adopt another ESS.  Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog ever.  She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey.                                                                                                                                                                                                  Judy Minnick, NJ

Lily 15's Story . . .

___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Original: “Lily is very loving and wants people to love her.”

Lily became a MAESSR girl when her Virginia breeder/owner decided it was time for her to retire.  The breeder contacted MAESSR who agreed to help.

Lily was very shy initially.  She lived in an indoor/outdoor kennel situation and had not been exposed to life indoors with all  its accompanying scary sounds and sights.  She has adjusted very well so far.   Her love of food (her current favorite food is hot dogs) and joy at being with her people have helped her overcome a lot of fear.   Lily's new family will have to be committed to continuing work with her on becoming a well rounded member of the family.

Lily is crate trained and has been completely trustworthy in her foster home with no accidents.  She walks fairly well on a leash for a dog that was rarely on a leash in her early years; she also rides well in the car although she needs to be helped in as being  in a car is one of those scary, new things. She does not show aggression.

Lily is very loving and wants people to love her.  Her new family will need to be willing to work with her and be patient with the many things she does not know.  This pretty flower will break your heart and make you the happiest person ever at the same time.  Are you ready for a new Lily in your life this spring?
