Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Daisey 16's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Original: “Daisey is very adventurous and
curious and has an independent side; yet, she is very sweet and absolutely
loves to cuddle.”
Daisey and her brother Chip became
MAESSR pups when their Maryland owner became ill and had to rehome the
Springers in his breeding kennel.
This beautiful, petite Springer
pup loves to play rough and tumble with her littermate, loves to fetch a
tennis ball, and loves to sniff all the plants in the yard. Daisey
is very adventurous and curious and has an independent side; yet, she is very
sweet and absolutely loves to cuddle. The vet and his assistants love
Daisey and comment on her great personality every time she visits their office.
She is good when being handled by them and by the groomer.
Although Daisey is crate trained, it's not her favorite
place to be. She will sleep quietly in her crate at night but will get very
vocal in the morning when she is ready to get up! Her foster parents are still working with Daisey on
housetraining.
Although her favorite
playmate is her sibling Chip, Daisey has become brave and will now play with
the large resident Plott Hound which makes him very happy. Daisey
would be fine as an only dog but she would also like to play with another
friendly, playful dog. She has been around lots of noisy, active 12 year
old girls and has done great. She also has been around a few small
children, but needs to work on not jumping up on them. She has not been around
cats in her foster home.
Daisey is doing pretty well on
a leash, but has not been on one too much as she has a large fenced yard
to run in. Potential adopters should note that MAESSR only places
puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in
obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and
they do chew on things! The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a
healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce
this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year old and under to
enroll their puppy a series of obedience classes within 60 days of adoption.
Daisey is a very smart girl and should do great.
Daisey is
going to be a wonderful addition for some lucky family.
