Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Chip 11's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Original: “Chip is a very smart little pup and will be a good pupil since he
loves to please and he is very food motivated!”
Chip
and his sister Daisey became MAESSR pups when their Maryland owner became ill
and had to rehome the Springers in his breeding kennel.
A beautiful pup
with wonderful flecking, Chip still has the blue/green eyes of a puppy.
He enjoys rough play with Daisey and will fetch a tennis ball when thrown
for him. Running in the yard is great
fun too and he loves to sniff plants and animal scents. When Chip is not
playing, he loves to cuddle. What a
sweetie!
Chip
has really bonded with his foster mom although he is friendly with everyone he
meets. He will be a very loving, loyal and dedicated dog for some lucky
person or family. The vet and his staff love Chip and comment on his great
personality every time he visits.
Although
Chip is crate trained, his crate is not his favorite place to be. He
sleeps quietly at night but will get very active in the morning when he is
ready to get up! House training is still a work in progress.
Although his
favorite playmate is his sibling, he has lost his fear of the large resident
Plott Hound and is playing with him frequently. Chip would be fine
as an only dog as he loves getting all of the attention, but he would also be
fine with another friendly, playful dog. Chip has been around lots of
noisy, active 12 year old girls and has done great. He also has been
around a few small children, but needs to work on not jumping up on them.
He has not met any cats yet.
Chip is doing pretty well on a leash,
but has not been on one too much as he has a large fenced yard to run
in. Potential adopters should note that MAESSR only places puppies in
homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience
classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do
chew on things! The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy,
happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this
commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year old and under to
enroll their puppy in a series of obedience classes within 60 days of adoption.
Chip is a very smart little pup and will be a good pupil since he loves to
please and he is very food motivated!
This
sweet puppy will be a wonderful addition to any family!
