Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Britten's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Original: “Britten loves to
snuggle with her sibling, play with toys, eat, and spend time outdoors.”
As a Springer breeder in Virginia was dying, she asked that
her dogs be placed in MAESSR homes. One of the dogs was pregnant and Britten
is one of six puppies born in her litter. The pups stayed with their mom
in one foster home until they were weaned. Then, they were divided in
groups of two and sent to new foster homes.
Britten came to her foster home with
her sibling Artemisia. Together, they
immediately took to the resident dogs in the house. They follow their
every move, learning how to behave by following their lead. Britten is
crate trained and is doing very well with housetraining.
Britten loves to snuggle
with her sibling, play with toys, eat, and spend time outdoors. She is a typical
active puppy. She loves to wrestle with her sibling, follow the resident dogs around
the kitchen, and play with a tug-toy with her littermate. The resident dogs
reprimand Britten when she gets too wound up.
The two pups have taken
a few car rides and are noisy little pups during the trip, but that will
change as they go out for more rides. When they took their first trip to
the vet, everyone fell madly in love. How couldn’t they immediately fall
in love? Britten received a clean bill of health at
her first trip and has gotten all of her puppy vaccinations subsequently
according to schedule.
Potential adopters should note that
MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding
with the puppies in obedience class. Puppies require a lot of care, attention,
and patience, and they do chew on things. The decision to get a puppy, and
raise it to be a healthy, happy, well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To
reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year and
younger to enroll in puppy obedience classes within 60 days of adoption.
There is nothing more pleasant and
rewarding than raising a Springer puppy.
Bring Britten into your life!
