  •  Three years ago, we made the best decision in deciding to adopt another ESS.  Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog ever.  She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey.   Judy Minnick, NJ

Bo 14's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Original:  “He's a go-go-go and then find-my-person-and-cuddle kind of pup.”

Bo and his sister Cutie became MAESSR pups when their Maryland owner became ill and had to rehome the Springers in his breeding kennel.

Talk about a happy puppy; that is Bo!  He is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy and he absolutely lives for fun.  He likes to play and he loves his person.  He bonded with his foster mom strongly, and when his littermate sister was off exploring the yard and woods, Bo would circle back to his human mom and lie right at her feet.  His love runs deep!  He's a go-go-go and then find-my-person-and-cuddle kind of pup. Of course he loves everyone, but he definitely bonds strongly with one human and is dedicated to him or her.  So if you want an "I only have eyes for you" Springer, then Bo’s your man.

Bo is crate trained, but it's not his favorite place to be. Once he has decided it’s time to get out, he will carry on.  His favorite playmate is the resident year old Springer; they are BEST BUDS! Bo would be fine with an active family but it would be a big bonus if his forever home had another playful dog.  Think of all of the play energy that they could burn off!  Bo does well with the young kids in his foster home (ages five and seven) and listens well when told to leave the chickens alone.

Bo doesn’t mind having his ears and feet touched and is good at the vet’s office.  He actually has good leash manners, walking well and not pulling.  He isn’t on a leash for long periods, though, as he has lots of country space to run.   Potential adopters should note that MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do chew on things!  The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year old and under to enroll their puppy in  2 sets of obedience classes within 60 days of adoption. Bo is a smart little pup and should be a star pupil!

Bo is handsome and sweet and FUN!  He will be a wonderful addition to any family.
