Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Alicia's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Original: "She is very alert to the sounds and scents around her.”
When the owner of an adorable litter of Springer puppies developed health issues, MAESSR was contacted to help find these Pennsylvania pups wonderful new homes.
Alicia joined a MAESSR foster home along with her brother, Duke, as she became socialized and accustomed to the new world around her. There were so many new things to learn about and experience. This smart girl has been taking it all in as all puppies do. Together these pups are an energetic pair! Generally they are great with other dogs, but as part of their training they are learning that senior dogs don’t take too kindly to puppy exuberance. They are practicing their manners and trying hard not to jump on or in the face of an older canine…good life skills, indeed!
Alicia is doing very well in her crate and with potty training. She is very alert to the sounds and scents around her. A very happy pup, Alicia is ready to join her new home and well on her way to becoming someone’s special friend.
It is important to understand that MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do chew on things! The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year old and under to enroll their puppy in obedience classes within 60 days of adoption. Alicia should be a star pupil!
