Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Adele's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Original: “Living inside of a home with a family who dotes on her has been a new experience for Adele who had been used to kennel life.”
When a kennel in Maryland closed, MAESSR was able to step in to help find forever homes for the dogs, which included Adele.
Living inside of a home with a family who dotes on her has been a new experience for Adele who had been used to kennel life. Although she might be a bit shy when experiencing something new, she quickly warms up to new situations ― especially if it involves people! Adele has a very sweet disposition and she loves being petted by her people.
Housetraining is progressing nicely and Adele arrived already crate trained. She is crated at night and when her foster parents are out of the house. A crate is left open if she feels the need to find some alone time, but she normally just leaves her toys in there for safe keeping.
In her foster home, Adele is quickly learning to play with the resident Springers and loves running and sniffing in her backyard. A good eater, Adele loves mealtime and has no issues sharing her food or anything else in her possession.
Please note that MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do chew on things! The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs 1 year old and younger to enroll their puppy in obedience classes within 60 days of adoption. Given Adele’s previous limited socialization as a kennel dog, these classes will be so very beneficial to her and her adoptive family. They will add so much to the human-puppy bond.
What Adele would like most is a family of her own who will love her, play with her, and make sure she gets lots of exercise and the training she needs to grow into a happy, well-adjusted dog. Would she be a good match for your family?
