  • Adopted Murdock in December 2006 when he was 10 Mos old. He has been the best boy ever! We just learned he has Lymphoma & are devasted. I can't imagine life without him & am hoping he responds well to treatment and lives many more months!!

  • I lost my best friend, Evie, a year ago September. I adopted her in 2006, she was 2 years old. That sweet girl was the love of my life and I miss her dearly. Thank you MAESSR for bringing that beautiful dog into my life.

    Wesley 3's Story . . .
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Original:
“ Unfortunately, Wesley was not in the best of health himself, and, after just six short weeks in foster care, this loving senior left for the Rainbow Bridge.”

Wesley became a MAESSR boy when his Virginia owner’s health declined; this 11 year old was lucky enough to come to a built-in family of foster and resident dogs of all shapes and sizes.  Unfortunately, Wesley was not in the best of health himself, and, after just six short weeks in foster care, this loving senior left for the Rainbow Bridge.

How fortunate for owners in need that MAESSR is available, and how fortunate for gentle guys like Wesley that MAESSR foster homes are available to ease their transition and give them comfort in their final days.

May we all continue to help each other.
