  • Adopted Murdock in December 2006 when he was 10 Mos old. He has been the best boy ever! We just learned he has Lymphoma & are devasted. I can't imagine life without him & am hoping he responds well to treatment and lives many more months!!

    Vinny 2's Story . . .
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Original:  “Vinny is very sweet and wants everyone he meets to pet him.”

Vinny came to MAESSR when his owners felt they could no longer handle his overall grumpiness as it was disrupting the family.  They asked if MAESSR could help.

Shortly after arriving at his MAESSR foster home, this senior was taken to MAESSR's vet and a complete evaluation showed that he had significant dysplasia in both hips.  He was started on supplements to help the hips and also some pain meds to make him much more comfortable.  Vinny also started receiving a medication for the anxiety he seemed to be feeling. This handsome fellow started feeling much better in a few days.   He will be required to continue supplements for his hips for the rest of his life and will be required to be on the anxiety medication for six months after adoption.

Vinny is very sweet and wants everyone he meets to pet him.  He has done wonderfully in his foster home with the other dogs.

He is totally housetrained, crate trained, and has really nice household manners except for the occasional counter-surfing attempt.  He is good about stopping those attempts when told NO—good dog, Vinny!!   Outside, this fellow walks well on a leash and LOVES to ride in the car.  He is an excellent passenger.

This wonderful senior is just looking for a place to live out his life.   He is a very nice boy and will surely find a comfortable, safe home for 2018 and the years to come.
