  • We got Boone from MAESSR when he was 6 years old. He was not dog-friendly and not good with young children, which presented some problems for us.  However, he loved us unconditionally, and he deserved the same from us. We introduced him to swimming.  He was hesitant at first, but he quickly became a water dog.  He loved car rides and just being with his people. We lost Boone very suddenly and unexpectedly on Sept. 11,2018 due to a bleeding tumor in his spleen. It was one month shy of his 13th birthday. He was great up until that last morning. There is a huge hole in our hearts that will never be filled. Even if we get another dog, there will never be another Boone.

Teddy Bear's Story . . .
___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Original: “He is strikingly handsome and with one little bat of his adorable eyes will steal your heart.”

This sweet boy came to MAESSR when his young North Carolina family was moving and could not take him.  They knew of MAESSR's reputation and asked if we could help.

Initially very shy and lacking confidence, Teddy was started on an inexpensive anxiety supplement and that has brought out his true fun-loving nature.  He will be required to stay on this supplement for a minimum of six months after adoption.  Teddy rides well in the car and walks well on the leash.  He is totally housetrained and is also crate trained although crating is not needed for this reliable boy.  With good house manners, he has not chewed or damaged anything inappropriate in his foster home. He does not counter-surf but probably would at least try if he were taller!

Teddy Bear lives up to his name.  He just wants to cuddle and love his people.  He is strikingly handsome and with one little bat of his adorable eyes will steal your heart.  His foster mom would keep him in a heartbeat if she did not have so many others.  Everyone that has met this sweet boy has wanted to adopt him.  His foster mom is sure that there is some wonderful family out there that needs a sweet, fun-loving companion.

If you are missing your childhood Teddy Bear, here is your opportunity to have him back.
