    Rufus 3's Story . . .
Original:  “The only problem with Rufus when he was being groomed was that he kept loving on the groomer and distracting her.”

This extremely sweet boy was found as a stray in New Jersey.  The vet associated with the shelter housing him said he was just a loving boy who wanted to be with his people.  She did not want anything bad to happen to him and asked asked a long-time volunteer if MAESSR could take him.  A MAESSR volunteer quickly went to the shelter to get Rufus and agreed about his wonderful temperament.  He just loves everyone he meets!
Rufus came to MAESSR with a very bad urinary tract infection which has now been cleared.  He also had hair loss from being badly flea infested.  Now that the fleas are gone and he is on a high quality food, his hair is coming back in nicely.  He was groomed recently, and what a good looking guy he is!  The only problem with Rufus when he was being groomed was that he kept loving on the groomer and distracting her!  His foster mom also has handled him all over with no issues.
Mr. Handsome did have a few accidents inside his foster home before his urinary tract infection was gone, but he now appears to be housetrained and crate trained.  This love rides well in the car and walks nicely on his leash. Otherwise, he is a large puppy who has much to learn.
With his grooming and new coat, Rufus’s appearance indicates he may not be 100% Springer.  But, don’t hold his lineage against him.  He thinks he’s a Springer and his personality and happiness are all Springer!!   Much is still to be learned about MAESSR’s new boy, and what fun his future family will have discovering all his personality in’s and out’s.  Are you ready to learn all about him and help him learn so that he can be the best that he can be?
