  •  Three years ago, we made the best decision in deciding to adopt another ESS.  Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog ever.  She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey.                                                                                                                                                                                                  Judy Minnick, NJ

Penny Lane's Story . . .
Original:  “An extremely sweet girl that loves people, Penny Lane wants to be with you all the time and always wants to please.”

Penny Lane had been relinquished to a Cocker rescue group in Ohio and was not having much luck finding a forever home.  MAESSR talked with the group and the decision was made to transfer her to MAESSR since we had waiting homes for Springers.

An extremely sweet girl that loves people, Penny Lane wants to be with you all the time and always wants to please.  She even sleeps in the bed with her foster family! She gets along well with all of the resident and foster dogs in her foster home, but her favorite pal is the resident, eleven pound English Toy Spaniel.  Their mom reports that the sight of these two playing together is just too much fun!
Penny is housetrained and crate trained, but prefers to have free roam of her home. This has not been a problem since she is trustworthy and has good house manners.

Although she is very obedient, Penny does pull hard on the leash at the beginning of a walk, but does settle in fairly quickly. She LOVES to go for car rides, sitting in the passenger seat and watching the world go by.  You can tell she thinks she is really special.  And she is!

When she first came into foster care, Penny had some minor health issues that needed tending.  She is currently being treated for a urinary tract infection and an ear infection.  She recently had a dental with one extraction.  She was a model patient while at the vet and for her grooming.  Good girl!

MAESSR’s Penny Lane is going to be not just in some lucky family’s “ears and eyes” as the Beatles sang, but in their hearts as well.  She will be worth MILLIONS of “pennies” to her forever family!
