Three years ago, we made the best decision in
deciding to adopt another ESS. Zoey then came to us and is the BEST dog
ever. She is not only beautiful but so well behaved and is loved by
everyone. We can't thank MAESSR and Debbie enough for giving us Zoey. Judy Minnick, NJ

Harley 13's Story . . .
______________________________________________________________________
Original: "He knows there’s nothing like a good game of chase or tug or wrestling with another Springer!"
Harley came to MAESSR from Pennsylvania when his female owner realized that she was getting older and could not control Harley on walks. In his enthusiasm to be out walking, he had pulled her over causing her to injure both of her knees. So, it was felt he should find another home before she got hurt badly. His owner is absolutely heartbroken over letting him go, but knows he is not getting enough exercise with her. Housetrained and crate trained, Harley has perfect house manners. There is no counter-surfing or inappropriate chewing with this good boy! He has not had to be crated while left alone in the house; instead, he is given free roam of the house when his foster parents are out because he is so trustworthy. Although Harley has had no formal obedience training, he does know the commands sit, stay, and come. His foster parents have found him to have good leash manners, but he does bark at other dogs when out walking. When taken to a large acreage for a walk, Harley is trusted off leash. When it is time for a car ride, Harley does not mind being crated as his former owner used one with him when she traveled by car. He also rides well loose in the car.
This low key boy has no separation anxiety or fear of thunderstorms. He is great at the groomer and both the groomer and boarding kennel love him!
Harley likes to run and play with the resident and foster dogs in his foster home! He knows there’s nothing like a good game of chase or tug or wrestling with another Springer! This helps him burn off energy and makes walking him easier! He is reportedly good with cats, too.
This boy has the absolute cutest WOOO WOOOO! If you like a great WOOO WOOOOer to take on long walks and to play with and to love, Harley is the Springer for you!
