    Essence's Story . . .
Original: “Quickly acclimating to living inside, she simply loves everyone and everything.”

Due to a Maryland kennel deciding to close, Essence found herself in need of a new home.  That is when MAESSR stepped in to offer its assistance in finding wonderful new families for her and her kennel mates.
A true Springer sweetie pie, Essence is a happy, fun-loving girl.  She is loving life in her foster home where she is a real Velcro dog, following her foster mom around everywhere.  There is no such thing as human privacy from a Springer’s perspective!  Having human attention all the time is a wonderful thing according to Essence.  Quickly acclimating to living inside, she simply loves everyone and everything.
There are lots of new things to learn about and to explore when living in a home with a family.  Essence will counter-surf, but that behavior is being discouraged by her foster family.  When people visit her home― especially the grandkids― Essence knows she must be on her best behavior and she is very gentle with them.  A fast learner, Essence is already housetrained and reliable, letting her people know when she needs to go out.  Good girl!  The resident horses are another new experience she has encountered.  Now she loves to go to the barn with her foster mom to check on her equine friends.

Coming from a kennel background, Essence originally knew no commands but she is learning them quickly.  Her foster family thought that each member would have one arm longer than the other because Essence pulled quite a bit on leash walks originally.  She has quickly learned the appropriate walking behavior and her family’s arms are the same length again.  Riding politely in the car is something that she picked up right away since she likes to ride in the car.

If you are willing to put a little effort into polishing Essence and loving her to pieces, she will be the touchstone of love in your family.  She is the essence of what is great about Springers!
