Levi
Description:Original:Levi is a beautiful, young Springer who was seized by animal control in Pennsylvania due to neglect. He was living outside with no shelter and little or no food and water. In his foster home, Levi gets along great with resident senior female Springer; however, the resident male Springer has taken a distinct dislike towards him. Levi doesn't seem bothered by this male dog’s rancor, though. The resident cat thinks Levi should find his forever home quickly before Levi eats him! So, his forever home must not have cats! When his foster family leaves the house and when bedtime comes, Levi is crated. Totally housebroken, he is excellent in his crate and quiet when the family leaves the house. He likes to play with toys and likes to play fetch. If a toy or especially a tennis ball has been misplaced, Levi can find it in an instant! Since he loves to play and has lots of energy, Levi would to well with an active owner. A course in basic obedience is a must for Levi and his new owners to help them bond and to help him improve his house manners. His foster family is working with him on learning to walk nicely on the leash without pulling. He likes to jump up on people so he probably would not be a good match with young children whom he would easily knock down. Levi is also learning that Springers are not supposed to countersurf or jump up on the furniture. There are so many manners for a young Springer to absorb! He seems to respond better for his foster dad as far as the training goes. Levi knows the basic commands including “come,” “sit,” “down,” and “shake.” His foster family is working on “stay” with him currently. Levi is a very smart boy. Great in the car, Levi didn’t even mind his trip to the vet where he was very well behaved for his exam and blood test. Although Levi is still a bit thin, the vet was pleased that he is filling out nicely, currently weighing 52 pounds. He is a big handsome lug who loves to snuggle at your feet and get belly rubs in true Springer fashion! Levi is very sweet and wins the hearts of everyone who meets him. Can he win your heart too?
