    Dakota 9's Story . . .
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________________

Original: “Dakota came to MAESSR because he was just too rambunctious for the young children in his Pennsylvania home.”

Dakota came to MAESSR because he was just too rambunctious for the young children in his Pennsylvania home.  His mom has seen him in a pet store when he was six months old.  Poor Dakota had outgrown the cage the store kept him in and this kind lady decided to buy him.  The family worked very hard to try to make it work, but finally decided that keeping him was not fair to anyone.  So, they asked MAESSR to help find him a better fit.

Both crate trained and housetrained, Dakota is a quick learner and is beginning to understand what is expected of him inside his foster home.  Curious about everything, he is definitely not perfect about staying off of counters, but this is not unusual for a young Springer.  He was initially a little shy in new situations so he was placed on a supplement for anxiety that helped him overcome a lot of his fears.

This fun loving boy already rides well in the car and he is fairly good on the leash.  Above all he is extremely sweet at all times.

Dakota will not be placed in a home with young children.  He needs to grow up and settle down before living with young kids.  He does not try to hurt them; he just has too much energy for them.

This is one extremely sweet boy that just needs a family that will commit to giving him the structure and training needed to help him settle down.  Will your family be the perfect fit for Dakota?
